Hi, I'm Molly

Software engineer with a master's degree in Media Technology , focused on game development, tools, and interactive experiences.

Projects

I have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from small prototypes to larger-scale applications. My focus has been on game development, tools, and interactive experiences, but I have also explored other areas of software engineering.

My inspiration and motivation

As with many others, games have been a big part of my life and still are! I remember the feeling of being so immersed in a game, even the simplest ones, and being amazed by how games could make people feel, just like a movie or a book. Wanting to be able to create, I started diving deeper into the technical side of games, not only seeing why someone created them, but how developers could build the systems and tools that make these worlds possible. Even though I have a strong interest in game development, I also enjoy working on other types of software, such as tools and interactive experiences. I believe that knowleadge and experice from different areas of life can be applied to sofware development and make a better product and make me a better developer.

Education and experience

I have a Master's degree in Media Technology from Linköping University, where I focused on game development and interactive experiences.

Media Technology (MT) is a multidisciplinary engineering program that combines computer science, software engineering, design, and media production. The education provided a broad technical foundation spanning C++, C#, Python, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript), computer graphics, algorithms and data structures, UX, and project-based software development.

Example courses I took during my studies include (to name a few): Design and Programming of Computer Games, 3D Computer Graphics, Communication and User Interfaces, Advanced Image Processing, and Project Management.
